Our technical infrastructure

Redbee owns its own network, fully managed by our own engineers. A fast and reliable network is the basis for our services. That's why we love to invest in it.

Our connections enter the network at two locations: Equinix and Globalswitch. These locations are connected with a dedicated fibre connection. The networkdevices are all property of Redbee and of well known vendors. We use Juniper M10i routers for our BGP, and Cisco layer 3 switches for internal routing.

Availability

Because we connected two locations with a fibre, and our connections come in to both locations, we can offer a fully redundant solution to our customers. This solution can cope with the loss of an entire datacenter. Dit is a service that we can also offer to VPS users. Depending on the needs of the customer we can design a custom solution, using the redundancy in the network to its full extend.

IPv6

The number of available IPv4 address is reducing quickly. According to recent estimations it will take less than 400 days before all available addresses are allocated. The successor, IPv6, has been available for some time now, but is used very little. To prevent problems, and because we like to work with technology, we have been working with IPv6 for some time now. Our network is fully connected to the IPv6 part of the internet. All our services are available through IPv6.
